Ardmore Bait and Trap Drop-In

The purpose of the Bait and Trap Day programme is to resource and support landowners in the Wairoa River catchment to undertake pest animal control on their properties. This is in line with the Predator Free 2050 goal, and targets similar species. The Wairoa River catchment includes Ararimu, Paparimu, Hunua, Clevedon, Ardmore and Ness Valley.
Pest experts will be on hand on 2 May to advise people on the best control methods for the pest animal species they want to target on their properties. Free traps and bait will be available. In return participating landowners will need to register their property details and agree to provide regular updates to FOTW on the success of their pest control.
This will be a ‘drop in’ event, anytime between 10am and 1pm in the Ardmore School carpark.
We will also be available to talk about other aspects of what Friends of Te Wairoa do, such as assistance with revegetation planning and the community nursery.

The event is finished.
