Join us for an exciting evening of bat spotting, as we look for long-tailed pekapeka right here in Franklin! On this community walk we will search and listen for bats at one of the Franklin Bat Project’s key survey areas where bats have been regularly recorded and tracked.

Due to the sensitive nature of our taonga, group sizes will be limited to 12 people each night and so registration to attend this walk is necessary. Please register via the Predator Free Franklin website to secure your spot!

• Location: Baldhill Road, Waiuku. Exact address and meeting point will be given once you have registered via our website.
• Bring: Please wear sturdy footwear, and bring a small torch or headlight. We will have a couple of hand-held bat locators that people can use.
