Friday working bee – Pukekohe Hill

Our last tree planting working bee was a real success, with lots of puriri, taraire and kowhai going into the ground at St Brides Reserve in Mauku.  We don’t want Pukekohe to feel left out this season, so our next planting will be there.

Come to the southern side of Pukekohe Hill this Friday from 2.00 – 4.00pm. for some good digging exercise, as we look to enhance an unloved but potentially very cool public access trail. If you can’t make it bang on the dot that’s fine as we’ll also be doing a bit of track widening, so there will be plenty of work for everyone.  Access to the site is from just east of the highest point of Bayly Rd. Please park off road and be careful when crossing the road.

Bring along a sharp spade or shovel, some solid footwear, gloves and warm clothes and possibly a raincoat.
