James Talbot from WaterCare will be speaking about the felling of pine forests in the Hūnua Ranges and their replacement with native plants, protecting the Auckland water resource and enhancing local biodiversity and habitat.

You’ll also have a chance to hear about what we’ve been up to and what we’re planning for the coming year, and we’ll showcase the recently published book about the history of kōkako in the Hūnua Ranges, Stories from the Kōkako Management Area by Lenny van Heugten.
