Lenny van Heugten will be kindly joining us to talk about her new book – Stories from the Kōkako Management Area. A truly inspiring story of how the North Island kōkako have been brought back from the brink of extinction in the Hunua Ranges over the last 30 years. This is thanks to the efforts of a network of volunteers and Auckland Council budget, staff and other scientists.

Lenny’s book will be available for purchase on the night, a great gift idea for loved ones or yourself! Books cost $35 each – correct change in cash, or bank transfer, will be available on the day (all sale profits will be used to continue improving the Hunua Ranges for all biodiversity and future generations).
