Come along and be part of a community planting day at Lough Bourne Reserve in Pukekohe. Join neighbours, friends, and whΔnau to help plant native trees and improve this local green space. Itβs a great way to get outdoors, lend a hand, and make a positive difference πΏ
When:
Saturday 13 June 2026, 10am β 1pm β°
Where:
Lough Bourne Reserve, Pukekohe
Entrance to the reserve is located between 31 and 33 Lough Bourne Drive. Follow the flags and signs to the planting area π©
Who:
Open to the general public, all ages welcome π¨βπ©βπ§βπ¦
Children must be accompanied and supervised by an adult at all times.
What to know:
Planting will go ahead rain, hail or shine π§οΈβοΈ Please dress for the weather. Support and guidance will be available on the day.
What to bring:
- Sturdy, covered footwear π’
- Gardening gloves (optional)
- Bottle of water π§
- Sun or rain protection
- A spade if you have one (a limited number will be provided)
Even if you can only stay for part of the morning, your help is appreciated. Every plant counts π±
