Community Planting Day 🌱 – Lough Bourne Reserve

Come along and be part of a community planting day at Lough Bourne Reserve in Pukekohe. Join neighbours, friends, and whānau to help plant native trees and improve this local green space. It’s a great way to get outdoors, lend a hand, and make a positive difference 🌿

When:
Saturday 13 June 2026, 10am – 1pm ⏰

Where:
Lough Bourne Reserve, Pukekohe
Entrance to the reserve is located between 31 and 33 Lough Bourne Drive. Follow the flags and signs to the planting area 🚩

Who:
Open to the general public, all ages welcome 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦
Children must be accompanied and supervised by an adult at all times.

What to know:
Planting will go ahead rain, hail or shine 🌧️☀️ Please dress for the weather. Support and guidance will be available on the day.

What to bring:

• Sturdy, covered footwear 👢
• Gardening gloves (optional)
• Bottle of water 💧
• Sun or rain protection
• A spade if you have one (a limited number will be provided)

Even if you can only stay for part of the morning, your help is appreciated. Every plant counts 🌱
