Workshop on riparian projects – 28 April
Kia ora everyone. Here’s a great opportunity to get practical information on how to do successful riparian corridor projects (native planting alongside rivers and streams).
NZ Landcare Trust has teamed up with Walking Access Commission and the Waikato Biodiversity Forum to present a workshop on good management practices associated with riparian corridor projects. It will cover the legal side of project planning, biodiversity gains from riparian planting, and the potential for carbon sequestration and credit. These things can make or break a riparian planting project, so they’re well worth learning about if you’re thinking about starting one this autumn. See this document for workshop details and programme.
Spaces for this are limited, so be in quick. You can register here
Ric Balfour, the NZ Landcare Trust’s Waikato Catchments Coordinator is the organiser, so if you have any questions please email him at ric.balfour@landcare.org.nz or call him on 027 555 3099.
